“Celebrating Arthur Miller’s Theater Legacy: Performance and Production”

The 2025 day-long conference will focus on “Performance and Production,” and feature a broad range of perspectives on Miller’s plays. No cost, but registration is required due to space constrictions.
For nearly 80 years, Arthur Miller’s work has compelled audiences and inspired artists around the world. This event is a deep-diving celebration of Miller’s influence on both the national and international stage. The full afternoon of panels, monologues, and discussions will honor Miller’s significant contribution to theater and explore the creative process of actors, directors, educators, and writers.
Registration: The registration form is posted below. Online registration is required for the FREE event. Please register as early as possible to assist in our planning. Registration will close on October 10.
Travel and Lodging: Roxbury is located in a rural part of Connecticut, approximately a 2-3 hour drive from New York and Boston. Travel by car is essential. Attendees and participants looking for lodging accommodations can consult travel sites that offer best rates. Be aware that October is leaf season in New England, so hotels and motels can fill up quickly.

- 1 p.m.: Welcome / Introductions
- 1:15 p.m.: Keynote Address: “Creating a Syrian Muslim interpretation of A View From The Bridge” Director Brooke Ciardelli shares her journey re-imagining the play through the lens of a current day Muslim Syrian immigrant experience.
- 2 p.m. Arthur Miller Society Panel Discussion: “Reimagining Miller”
In this roundtable, members of the Arthur Miller Society will consider how groundbreaking productions and actor performances have significantly affected our understanding of Miller’s plays.
- Monologue from Broken Glass: by actor Caroline Kinsolving.
- 3 p.m. Celebrating Miller’s plays at Connecticut’s Long Wharf Theatre with director John Tillinger and actor Caroline Kinsolving: Moderated by Jessica Durdock Moreno, Long Wharf Director of Artistic Planning.
- 4 p.m. Arthur Miller Foundation Theater Education Panel:Mentorship as the bedrock of sustainable public school theater programs. Hosted by AMF Executive Director Jaime Hastings.
- 5 p.m. Reception
- 6 p.m. Theatre-makers’ Creative Process Behind the Scenes: Short scenes, monologues, and readings with a focus on the performance aspects of Arthur Miller’s plays. Featuring: Kimiye Corwin, Kent Burnham, Tracy Liz Miller, Ricky Oliver, Jessica Moreno. Directed by Marla Truini.
