During 2020

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many planned productions were cancelled starting in mid-March; we tried to list here just the ones we think were actually produced, but there may be some errors due to the difficulties of working out who cancelled and who did not–feel free to let us know if you see anything incorrect so we can update.

Set design by Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota and Yves Collet. Imagine actors performing on stage, throwing themselves to the ground and screaming while wearing a mask over their nose and mouth. Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota, ensures that barrier gestures are respected: “You can take off your mask as long as you are more than two and a half meters from someone. But you are not talking with, of course, without a mask.” Call +33 (0)1 42 74 22 77 or check the website.
  • A View from the Bridge 10-27 Sept. by Rogue Theatre, 300 East University Boulevard, Suite 150, Tucson, AZ. “Safety measures will be in effect, and the Arthur Miller play will get an interpretation made for a virus-plagued time. Our plan is to present ‘A View from the Bridge’ with most of the actors in mask, performing a kind of expressionistic rendering of the play while five vocalists speak the lines of the characters at the rear of the stage,” said Cynthia Meier, the Rogue’s co-founder and managing director. Play will be directed by Christopher Johnson, with musical direction by Russell Ronnebaum. Performers are Aaron Shand, Carley Elizabeth Preston, Bryn Booth, Hunter Hnat, Jeffrey Baden, Cynthia Meier, Christopher Pankratz and Joseph McGrath as Alfieri; McGrath is also in charge of the scenic design.
