This year’s fall issue (2024: vol.19, no.2) of the Arthur Miller Journal will be devoted to Death of a Salesman. The journal invites articles about the play as well as shorter notes to be included in an introductory section titled “Why Death of Salesman is Important.” Information about the journal and the submission process is available on the Penn State University Press website. Questions about this special issue of the journal should be emailed to Stephen Marino, the journal’s current editor, at arthurmillerjournal@gmail.com. The submission deadline for this issue is 15 April, 2024.

The Arthur Miller Journal (ISSN: 1558-8831) provides a lasting legacy to Miller’s significant contributions to American drama. It began its biannual publication in 2006 under the auspices of St. Francis College, and was given additional support from 2012 to 2014 by Regent University. 2015 saw the move to Penn State UP. The journal is now published twice yearly by Pennsylvania State University Press, in cooperation with the Arthur Miller Society and the Arthur Miller Centre at the University of East Anglia. While committed to producing a print journal, all past issues of the journal can be accessed through JSTOR. Paid-up society members will be able to access past issues through the journal archive link and below are content lists for each volume. Submission information for Arthur Miller Journal

We welcome essays on any aspect of Miller’s life, work, and career, both on individual works and evaluations of the scope of Miller’s eight decades of writing and his connection to other playwrights. We also are interested in publishing teaching notes and short notes regarding new approaches to Miller and his work. In addition to these, we invite book, production, film, and performance reviews. Submit all essays, notes, and reviews through the journal’s online and peer review system at http://www.editorialmanager.com/amj Essays should conform to the MLA Style Manual and not exceed 8000 words. Essays will be blind vetted. You will be notified by email as to each step of the submission process. Alternatively, you can submit essays and notes as email attachments to Editor Steve Marino: arthumillerjournal@gmail.com. Books for review and book reviews can be sent directly to the Book Review Editor: Stefani Koorey and Film or Performance reviews to the Performance Review Editor: Susan Abbotson. Film and Performance reviews should not exceed 3000 words. All submissions should follow MLA. Please look at a previous issue of the journal to check the format.
